[ The video shows Rin and his new partner, a Carvanha. There’s some good news and some bad news regarding Rin’s current state of attire. One is that he managed to grab his team jacket before turning up in Johto, so he at least has something other than his swimsuit keeping him decent. The other is that, well. He doesn’t have a shirt on.

Which one of those is good and which is bad is, of course, completely subjective. ]

Is it common for people to show up here without anything decent to wear? Because I actually have no clothes besides what I'm wearing right now.

[ The joys of being a Swimmer class: he has literally no underwear. Or pants, for that matter. Or shoes, either. But he does have a nice new pair of legskins, so it's not... all bad? ]

And some other questions. Is there a decent-sized pool in any of the cities here?

[ There's a slight hesitation before he goes on. ]

And about training Pokémon. I read the handbook, so I get why we have to do it, but... How are you supposed to decide what kind of Pokémon to raise? Or what the best way to raise them is?

This place seems a lot more advanced than I was giving credit to it... Although, I guess New Bark Town doesn't exactly leave the greatest impression.

[ At this rate, his goal is going to be speeding through Johto and Kanto as fast as possible. See all the sights. Win all the badges. Something like that. ]

Well, when you consider how you can store Pokémon inside of computers... yeah, I'd say it's pretty hi-tech. You just gotta look past the rural towns before it starts to show.

[And even then, it's only in small clusters until the big cities. Not like Violet's got much in the way of technical marvels.]

As far oceans, when you grow up on an island, you get used to the water. It's about as close to home as I'm ever gonna get in this place.
