Well, if you're looking for the ocean, your best bet's Olivine City. It's a ways off from where you're at, but believe me, it's worth the wait. Plus, it's not like Goldenrod's got any water in the first place.

Or, if you're feeling really adventurous, you could try going out to Cinnabar island. Place is kind of deserted, but I think everyone should check out the volcano at least once.
